FALSE ALARM ORDINANCE

On Thursday, June 8, 2023 the Pine Grove Borough Council adopted the following ordinance below pertaining False Alarms.

DUMPSTER PERMITS REQUIRED

Starting on Monday, March 14, 2022 a dumpster permit will be required for dumpsters/ yard roll offs in size of 10-40 cubic yards in Pine Grove Borough.  This does not include residential or commercial refuse containers, commonly located on residential or commercial properties.  Tentatively the Borough is waiving the fees for permits.  The permits will be valid for a two-week period on borough streets and three months for private properties.  You must obtain a permit at the Pine Grove Borough Office before having the dumpster/roll off placed onto the street or private property. 

You may access the permit and ordinance online at www.pinegroveborough.org or you can stop in for a copy at the Borough Office, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Yard Sale, Party and Sports Signage

Any person who places or hangs any type of sign or notice upon utility poles, lamp posts, or other Borough property including but not limited to yard sale signs, picnic advertising signs, or sports signs must place that person’s or representatives’ name, address, and phone number upon the sign.

Any person who places or hangs such signs upon property within the Borough limits must remove said sign within three (3) days from date of the event.

If you attach signs using nails, or staples, you or your organization may be fined. It’s a major liability for our power companies when dealing with nails and staples in the poles.
